Hi! It's me - Janeen. Your friendly, but thoroughly awkward yoga teacher. I am a 200 hr YogaAlliance certified instructor & a 95 hr YA certified kids yoga instructor. I am, also, a certified Roll Model Practicioner with Tune Up Fitness & a certified TRX Instructor. I've completed trainings with Jules Mitchell, Jason Crandell, Yoga Medicine, Jill Miller, & Anatomy Trains. Nerding out on the body & brain is one of my very favorite things! I have a couple of new trainings started this year that I hope to complete soon. Always learning!
When I teach, my priority is to see the folks & the bodies in my classes & to teach people - not just yoga instructions. I hope to always provide inclusive & adaptable classes with a focus on body awareness, individual strengths, & mindfulness. Yoga props are my jam & using all the props to promote supportive inquiry into our bodies & the movements is a recurring theme in my classes. Rest & recovery for all bodies is a big priority in my teaching philosophy. Intentional Recovery & Restorative Yoga classes are some of my very favorite to create. Teaching the magic of down-regulating our nervous systems & gifting that skill to people for themselves is what it's all about for me. I am available to work one-on-one with folks or in groups. I can help in working on mindfulness, progressing safely before or after physical therapy, dealing with loss of mobility, pain & general wear-&-tear of the body & more.
Small group sessions, neighborhood classes, corporate wellness, celebrations & numerous other possibilities are in my wheelhouse.

What is your cancellation policy?
Class cancellations must be made 24 hours before the class you registered for. Refunds are not available at this time. Substituting can be done via email. Last-minute cancellations are for emergencies ONLY.
Do I need prior yoga experience?
No. Every class can benefit the most novice person to the years-long practicing yogi. The classes are set up to meet you where you are in your journey.
Are these vinyasa or flow-based sessions?
Each class is designed to be a gentle flow when not designated as a restorative class. Class themes are subject to change but will always include modifications. Feel free to consult with medical professionals before trying anything new if you have a previous injury or any other health concerns.
What if I don't have a yoga mat or blocks?
Materials such as mats, blocks, and straps, are available for in-class use at no charge.
What if I can't hit every pose?
Every practice will include modifications. Each session is an open forum where attendees can share any concerns they have before we start. I am happy to help you if you recovering from an injury. Please consult a medical profession before trying anything new if you are healing from injury.
